It explains why each year the winner of CCN's HVACR Leader of the Year Award is such a driv- ing force for the industry, providing leadership and inspiration.
This is a person that has a well established HVACR career and has contributed extensively to the development of the industry.
It may be a program, project or specific prod- uct that has made a difference.

ENERGY SMART
Of all the categories that are included in the HVACR Leadership Awards, the one that attracts the most interest usually involves energy savings or sustainability.
Its an area where HVACR excels which is why it has been so popular.
While energy savings and sustainability are very different, there are many projects in which they work very well together which is why, this year, it is a single category.
As a nominee you may choose to focus on one area, more than the other while still demonstrating success in a range of areas that cover smart energy use or sustainability.
