Recognition for outstanding service and maintenance
ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR CATEGORIES OF THE ARBS AWARDS IS THE OUTSTANDING SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE AWARD.

Air Change won this year’s Product Excellence Award. The winning team (pictured) said it took passion to make their product a reality.
The Hydrochem team won the Software/Digital Excellence Award.
This year it was awarded to the A.G. Coombs Group for its ongoing commitment to customers. The company continues to develop initiatives to drive improvement in customer service in- cluding a unique contract management struc- ture that is fundamental to delivering value and
service standards.
The A.G.Coombs Group also has its own Na-
tional Customer Service Centre to provide more personal and responsive support. This is a com- pany strongly engaged in the HVAC industry.
When accepting the award, the team thanked “our people, our managers, our general manag- ers, our technicians, our support staff - our peo- ple define us”.
It wasn’t an easy win, the other finalists includ- ed Airmaster Australia which manages over 3,800 sites around Australia. Airmaster techni- cians are trained specialists in a wide range of ar-
eas from refrigeration/chiller mechanics, electri- cians, pneumatic and analogue control through to fitters, boilers and mechanics.
Another finalist was City Holdings Australia which commenced services for Coles in 2009 and since then has delivered more than $50 mil- lion worth of savings. This is in addition to $2 million worth of energy savings.
Coles re-signed with City Holdings for anoth- er 10 years in December, 2016.
A new category for 2018 was the ARBS Soft- ware/Digital Excellence Award.
This award went to HydroChem for Clari- ty, an online application which presents re- al-time field data in visualisations. Users can quickly view and understand vast amounts of asset water health information at a glance with its innovative distillation of big data which may well be a world first in
the battle to control Legionella outbreaks. HydroChem gratefully accepted the prestig- ious award musing over the small but important
niche they fill in the HVACR industry.
The other finalists in this category were Fu- jitsu General Australia for its online parts store and Airmaster’s bespoke Tuggeranong Office
Park Building Services Network (BSN).
Next the ARBS Product Excellence Award was presented to Air Change for ACDHUM-LD, the first Australian made dehumidification unit with air to air counterflow plate heat exchange technology for temperature and humidity con- trol. Air Change acknowledged that it took a
passionate team to make this product a reality. The other finalists for product excellence were Johnson Controls for its York YZ magnet- ic bearing centrifugal chiller and Trafalgar
Fire’s Firebox.
