STULZ to distribute liquid cooling solutions
STULZ ANZ WILL be the master distributor for CoolIT data centre liquid cooling solutions in the Australasian region.
CoolIT’s Rack DCLC platform is a modular, rack-based, advanced cooling solution that is said to allow for dramatic increases in rack den- sities, component performance, and power effi- ciencies. Under the agreement, STULZ ANZ will provide guidance on product selection and configuration, advising customers in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea on the best CoolIT data centre liquid cooling solution for their particular needs.
The partnership includes the sales and distri- bution of CoolIT’s coolant distribution units, rack manifolds, and associated direct liquid cooling products. STULZ ANZ will also become the primary provider of service and installation support in the region, according to the compa- ny’s managing director, John Jakovcevic.
“STULZ ANZ has been experiencing first- hand changes in the market in the areas of high- performance computing (HPC), space availabil- ity, Edge computing and IoT, and we knew the
effect these changes would have on server pro- cessing power and subsequently the cooling challenges this brings,” Jakovcevic said.
“As a business who prides itself on our innova- tions and future gazing approach, partnering with CoolIT ensures we can provide the latest liquid cooling technology to our portfolio of solu- tions, and ensure we remain at the forefront of our industry as it rapidly changes year by year.”
Rack DCLC technology is compatible within any server and in any rack making it a truly flex- ible solution that allows for an edge in today’s highly competitive marketplace, according to the VP of business development and product marketing at CoolIT Systems, Patrick McGinn.
“CoolIT aims to provide the same great cus- tomer experience to all customers around the world, regardless of location, and partnering with STULZ ANZ advances that objective,” McGinn said.
“With over 50 years of experience in the data centre cooling industry, STULZ is well suited to represent CoolIT and our broad range of Direct Liquid Cooling products.”

Easy to install inverter scroll technology
THE DANFOSS OPTYMA Condensing Unit range continues to thrive in the Australian market. The global success of the Optyma Slim Pack has been mirrored in the local market for the last 12-18 months with its exclusive distribu-
tion through Airefrig Australia.
ARBS 2018 saw the successful launch of the
complete product family with Plus and Plus In- verter added to the offering.
Optyma Plus INVERTER is a variable speed condensing unit with the unique benefits of stepless inverter scroll technology. The result is up to 30% higher energy efficiency, compared to mechanically modulated technology.
The unit is designed for medium tempera- ture refrigeration applications in the range of 2kW to 9kW, using a multi-refrigerant compres- sor which includes the new lower GWP refriger- ants such as R449A.
In as little as three steps the unit can be pro- grammed for the required application via the
controller, meaning installation time is significantly reduced. Customers will benefit from no downtime and speed control for noise and energy efficiency.
In conjunction with the launch of the Optyma range, Danfoss Condensing Unit Global Application Expert, John Broughton conducted technical prod- uct training across Australia.
Airefrig staff and sales engineers were equipped with both product knowledge and leading industry best practices for applying In- verter Technology, to achieve full precise con- trol for critical application and noise reduction.
As part of the market release Airefrig custom- ers who also attended product training experi- enced a joint knowledge sharing exercise and hot topics included future proofing for refrigerants, stack mounting from the Optyma Plus range and the value of easy installation for contractors and reduced running costs for end users.
Optyma Plus Inverter is a variable speed condensing unit with the unique benefits of stepless inverter scroll technology.
The full range of the Optyma condensing units provide Australian contractors with a val- ue for money condensing unit that offers clients a versatile and future proof solution. Stock availability is through Airefrig Australia’s na- tional network of branches.
