BSA general manager, Roshan Gill, has combined his Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering with his management skills to showcase his vision as an innovator. He is passionate about controls, building automation and sustainability – exceeding customer expectations when it comes to energy savings.
Aurecon sustainability leader, Quentin Jackson, is a building scientist, climate visionary and a sustainability leader. His abili- ty to deliver sustainable outcomes in the building environment has made him a leader in energy efficiency and a true believer in social responsibility.
Woolworths refrigeration & sustainable innovations engineer, Dario Ferlin, lives and breathes system efficiency and sustainability with a long term strategic focus. This is the man working to create 10 Transcritical CO2 sites in Australia by the end of 2019.

THE TRADIE OF the Year Award which is spon- sored by Kirby has four finalists:
Woolworths RAC technician, Robert Gruis, is renowned for his reliability, outstanding work ethic and ability to fix the toughest breakdowns, regardless of the system. He is a natural who sim- ply loves being a fridgie.
Hiflow Industries service technician, Brenden McFarlane, is a rarity. He can manage to smile, have a laugh and remain upbeat under the most trying and stressful circumstances and this is because he is a natural problem solver with skills to fix any system, at any site.
Woolworths refrigeration commissioner, Ben Glanfield, is at the top of his game which isn't surprising considering he has been in the trade for 20 years. His attention to detail is second to none, a quality that sets him apart from the rest.
Aggreko service technician, Mitch Fulmer, is always willing to go above and beyond for cus- tomers, its a quality that has set him apart from the rest and made him such an outstanding technician.

of the Year
MITSUBISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES Air Condi- tioners Australia is the sponsor of the Contractor of the Year Award which has three finalists and they are:
Surry Air Pty Ltd co-director, Kris O'Halloran, is a contracting veteran with more than three decades of success which he attributes to quality service, integrity, reliability and perseverance.
Blair's Heat Pump Services owner, Blair Tu- nevitsch, is a fridgie dedicated to going the extra mile for customers. Since opening the Tasmani- an business back in 2013, Blair has been able to rely on a returning client base.
Simmonds Heating & Cooling director, Mark Simmonds, began in his mum's shed. Today he employs 10 technicians and has a showroom on one of Adelaide's busiest main roads.

Airconnect Holdings director, David Jones, has created a predictive maintenance platform for HVAC systems that has global potential. The fault detection algorithm has been developed in
conjunction with Australia's peak scientific body, CSIRO.
RealTime Analytics CEO, Jason Schultz, has created a solution to digitize HVACR and streamline business operations. Since its official launch in July, the product has generated plenty of interest and has already been shipped all over Australia.
Hybrid System creator, Keith Collins, has been a fridgie for the past 40 years working on a wide range of equipment and has managed to create an evaporative cooler with the performance equivalent to a conventional 15kw ducted sys- tem but with much greater power savings.
