Haier takes real time approach to Russia
CHINA'S LARGEST CONSUMER electronics and home appliance producer, Haier, has launched its own Just In Time manufacturing fa- cility in Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia.
While the plant will initially focus on laundry appliances, Haier is also planning production lines for its other products, including air-condi- tioners and water heaters.
This will eventually culminate in the establish- ment of an integrated ecological production chain. The new plant, which connects the customer to the factory throughout the manufacturing pro- cess, is estimated to be able to produce laundry ap- pliances for up to 200 million users across Russia
and other countries in Central Asia and Europe.
It is the First Chinese Real-time Manufactur- ing Facility in Europe, according to the general
manager of the plant, Guiwei Sun.
The plant is in line with Haier's regional model of international growth.
Haier calls this model the trinity localiza- tion model of R&D, manufacturing and marketing.
In the future, eight Haier manufacturing plants in different categories will be launched in the Russian Industry Park.
Designed using Haier's innovative 5+7+N con- cept, the Haier Smart Cloud Solution will link seven home solutions in air, water, security, clothes care, entertainment, health and infor- mation across five living scenarios -- the smart living room, smart kitchen, smart bathroom, smart laundry room and smart bedroom -- with customizations based on variable user needs (N) for a comprehensive and intuitive smart home ecosystem. ✺
