Wireless manometer
gets mobile
WELCOME TO CCN’S HOT PRODUCTS FEATURE WHICH PREVIEWS SOME OF THE BIGGEST PRODUCT RELEASES THIS SUMMER.
DWYER INSTRUMENTS HAS an- nounced the release of the Series 490W Hydronic Differential Pres- sure Manometer, the most accu- rate and easy to operate manom- eter on the market.
By using wireless transducers and a versatile handheld, a single operator can monitor and bal- ance a hydronic system in less time than tradi- tional hydronic balancers.
The Series 490W utilizes mobile technology to communicate via a Bluetooth connection with the transducers to monitor differential pressure and flow on up to three different valves.
Being wireless means there are no hoses to carry, snag on equipment or need for it to be drained. The 490W includes the Dwyer Hydronic Application Software that contains valve charts for numerous manufacturers.
Dwyer Instruments has also released the Se- ries SAH SMART Air Hood Balancing Instru- ment. By using the included hood stand and wireless communications to the handheld, a sin- gle operator can balance a branch in less time than traditional balancing teams.
A smart balancing act that is easy to manoeuvre.
Besides being lighter than most traditional cap- ture hoods, the ergonomic design makes the Series SAH easy to manoeuvre, with less physical stress.
The rugged polypropylene base hood features Quad Flow Design Technology for controlling air flow and minimizing back pressure, which yields superior measurement accuracy.
The Wi-Fi direct communication gives relia- ble communication with a distance of up to 200 yards (183 m) between the hood and the hand- held test instrument.
The SMART Air Hood Balancing Instrument includes the PredictAir Application Software which reduces the number of steps in the air flow balancing process using Predictive Balancing’s Express Balance mode. Predictive Balancing is a method of predicting the optimal flow set point for each register and the order in which they should be adjusted.
The Series 490W is accurate and easy to operate.
Seeley International unveils Braemar RPCQi
RISING ENERGY COSTS and predictions of one of the worst summers on record mean that a growing number of savvy businesses are looking for a cooling solution that delivers outstanding performance, unmatched reliability and cost ef- fectiveness.
The new Braemar RPCQi Series from Seeley In- ternational ticks all those boxes, and much more. For more than 40 years Braemar has been the trusted brand of choice for Australians, and the advanced technology in the RPCQi makes it the perfect option for small–medium commercial
and light industrial cooling applications.
For the first time in Braemar's history the RP- CQi comes with an Australian-made Direct Drive Inverter motor, which ensures low mainte- nance because it doesn’t rely on traditional belts or pulleys, which need replacing over time. It is also incredibly quiet and offers efficient perfor-
mance throughout its entire operating range. Dramatic improvement in cooling efficiency is achieved thanks to revolutionary Black Magic Mi- ni-Cell^ Chillcel pads, which have been designed
to seamlessly blend into their surroundings. Thicker 90mm pads ensure a 25% increase in surface area to dramatically enhance cooling capacity and efficiency.
The exterior cabinet is built to withstand our harsh environment thanks to strong and durable powder-coated marine grade alumini- um, and the unit’s clever design makes it per- fectly suited for direct on-duct mounting for economical and unobtrusive down discharge installations.
Both side and top supply air configurations are also available to suit other applications.
As an optional extra, the Braemar RPCQi can be in- tegrated with the industry leading MagIQtouch con- troller. The RPCQi is Modbus and BMS capable and can operate up to 60 coolers from a single controller. There’s no need for wiring thanks to the latest in Radio Fre- quency (RF) channel hopping technology, and the MagIQtouch Wi-Fi smart app allows quick and effi- cient climate control directly from a smart device.
