                               NEW FROM RUPES
RUPES continues to improve polishing pad and compound technology, in a constant pursuit of the best results for enthusiasts, professionals and industry alike. The latest products to hit the market are the all-new D-A Coarse compound and cut and finish wool polishing pad for rotary polishers.
D-A Coarse Compound is a high-performance compound designed for use with wool or foam pads, on RUPES BigFoot dual action polishers (random or- bital and gear-driven).
It’s a one-step, moderate to severe defect removal compound that aims to save time and costs by improved cutting performance, durable lubrication system for extended cycle and working time, and low-dusting formula to reduce clean-up.
New cut and finish wool polishing pads for rotary machines represent a leap for- ward in rotary pad technology and versatility, anywhere rotary polishers are used frequently. Made from genuine merino wool fibres, the improved balance between exceptional cutting performance and finish can mean a reduction in time spent swapping between pads, therefore increasing the efficiency of each job.
Available in 150mm and 165mm diameters, the concave design allows the user to manipulate the pad into contours, which further reduces the need for swapping between different tools and pads.
These new products are designed for, and work best with RUPES brand tools, compounds and pads, and can also be used with other brand machines.
RUPES is exclusively distributed in Australia by GnG Sales.

1K STONECHIP GUARD
PERCOTOP ANTISLIP ADDITIVE
On surfaces that can become especially slippery, the new CS220 Percotop Antislip Additive from Axalta could be a life saver, or at least a slip saver.
Axalta’s CS220 Percotop Antislip Additive has been de- signed for industrial applications. It creates a safe, slip-re- sistant surface by adding texture to the primer and topcoat without changing the colour, performance or properties of the paint. The process for using the additive is simple, as it can be combined with existing industrial primer or topcoat mix and can be sprayed through conventional spraying equipment. There is no additional waste, mess or inconsist- ent distribution, and importantly no additional drying time.
Based on Axalta technology, the CS220 Percotop Antislip Additive has only recently been introduced into the Australian market. Initially its purpose was to provide antislip surfaces on vehicles and modules for the Department of Defence.

After spending time, money and effort on achieving the perfect finish for your commercial vehicle, a simple chip can ruin it all. The new 1K Waterborne Stonechip Guard from Axalta is a chip resistant, flexible coating designed to extend the lifespan of commercial vehicles on the road.
1K Waterborne Stonechip guard provides excellent protection against stone chip damage and as an anti-corrosive barrier for vehicle underbodies. This highly flexible coating absorbs and deflects impact from road debris that all vehicles are exposed to during their service life.
“This product is a great addition to our portfolio. It will allow our commercial vehicle customers to keep their vehicles on the road for longer. This is expecially important for those whose livelihoods rely on their vehicles being in service on the road rather than in the repair shop for maintenance.” said Mi- chael Busch, OEM and Military Manager at Axalta Australia.
The product is easy to apply using conventional spraying equipment. After applying the coating onto the clean substrate surface, it is touch dry after 30 miutes and can be recoated after 2 hours at room temperature. Due to the waterborne nature of the product, it is easier to clean up and also provides bet- ter working conditions for painters.
