With the op- tion of choosing a tank mounted com- pressor or a complete solution including tank, dryer and filters, the CAPS Brumby range offers a solution for different air requirements. Both fixed speed and var- iable speed units are available in sizes ranging from 5 to 15 kW.
VSD
A Variable Speed Drive compressor will use a VSD drive, which allows the motor to actually ramp up and down, allowing for power consumption savings. Proper- ly sized for the same end use, a VSD compressor can yield power savings up- wards of 35% in some cases. Particular- ly collision repair where the air demand is not consistent.
Aside from the variable motor speed when in operation, the inverter in the VSD system performs a “soft” start op- eration by ramping up the motor speed slowly, which reduces the high draw peaks that are typical when a fixed speed motor is started. This also helps
protect electrical and mechanical com- ponents from the starting mechanical stresses that can shorten the life of an air compressor.
Choosing the variable speed option will save you up to 35% in power cost but will also make your installation last longer and avoid downtimes.
CAPS Brumby direct driven variable speed range of compressors comes in two configurations, receiver mounted (VX Series) or receiver mounted fitted with oversized dryer and pre/ post fil- tration (CSVX Series).
Most machines of this size will sit on a 300-litre receiver tank. The Brumby boasts a larger air tank to ensure a con- sistent flow of compressed air. Not only does a large air tank provide you with consistent levels of compressed air, it also reduces the number of times the unit needs to load – further saving energy.

al Velocity spray guns. The Velocity range offers cost effective spray guns manufactured with first class technical processes, offering perfect atomisation, fluid and air control consistent with all the major spray gun brands.
The Velocity range consists of the VRP regular pressure gravity feed spray gun in 1.3, 1.4 or 2.0 mm setup, the VHV HVLP Spray Gun in 1.3,1.4 or 1.8mm set- up and the VWB waterborne spray gun in 1.25mm, all presented with accesso- ries in an aluminium carry case. The VMG mini gravity gun includes both 1.0 and 1.2mm setups.
The VGF gravity feed spray gun finished in either a black pearl or anodized gold of- fers both a 1.4 and 1.8mm set up. The VG3N gravity feed gun kit offers a triple setup of 1.4, 1.8 and 2.5mm with kits packed in a hard plastic carry case. The VRP KIT, offers significant savings, in- cludes three gravity feed spray guns, a 1.4, a 1.8 and a 1.0mm touch up gun and the VMP mini touch up gravity feed spray gun, complete with 1.0 and 1.2 setups, is also presented in a hard plastic carry case.
The well-priced suction feed spray gun range features a Black Pearl finish and is available in 3 setups. The Velocity range also features individual and kit form airbrushes with suction, gravity and side mounted pots as well as the V8318H 10L pressure pot complete with a 1.5mm gun head and hose set.
