                    ANEST IWATA’S PATENTED SPLIT NOZZLE
technology, known as pre-atomisation, al- lows painters to once again lower the spraying pressure. This technology com- mences the atomisation process much ear- lier than in previous technologies to de- liver a newly refined spray pattern and finer atomisation for even better results.
Anest Iwata has further developed this technology with the Pininfarina co-designed Supernova range. Availa- ble in both WS400 and as an LVLP ver- sion; the LS400.
An unsurpassed level of gravity gun performance, the Supernova creates a long flat pattern delivering paint in a precise and even manner allowing for an extremely even overlap and a flat, even lay down of clear coats. Consistent droplet size during atomisation avoids solvent boil, pin holing on HS clear coats due to the centre heavy fan patterns common with older spray guns.
With a growing trend of spray painters all owning their own guns, Anest Iwata listens carefully to customers to deliver what they need. The Supernova range de- livers: guns that are comfortable to hold, easy to clean, light and flexible to use.
The latest trend we are experiencing is the growth in UV primers. As this product is cured with what is in es- sence daylight, it is of paramount im- portance to keep the product away from light sources especially when in the spray gun.
Anest Iwata has recently re-
leased three new black
spray gun pots to use
with UV coatings. These
pots suit the W400 series, the
Air Gunsa AZ3 series and the LPH 80 premium spot repair gun. Being sol-
id black in construction they do not allow the penetration of light into the paint material.
Also new from its Air Gunsa stable is the AZ4 spot repair gun. This gun has been specially designed for those
small to medium repairs. High transfer efficiency, more control
and maximum comfort for the operator are just some of the ben- efits of this new spray gun. As with all Anest Iwata guns it is per- fectly suited to both water and solvent- based paints.
It is of critical importance that the spray gun can support the needs of the painter by being both flexible and effi- cient in all climatic conditions regardless of the paint technology being sprayed.
SAFETY FIRST
Even with waterborne products the toxic elements of the paint are still present in the primers and clear coats. Half masks do not comply with this legislation and you must have the right breathing gear in place. Breathing the right air
and avoiding toxic fumes is the reason for all the safety gear – air fed respira- tors, gloves, spray suits and safety boots are just some of the PPE painters require on a day to day basis.
Broadbent Air Compressors, a wholly owned division of Anest Iwata, has for many years supported the collision re- pair industry with a range of air com- pressors, refrigerated dryers, air piping solutions and associated equipment.
With compressed air being the major element, and a significant cost of the day to day operation of every panel shop, it
makes sense to ensure that your equipment is both current and well maintained. Without air the bod-
yshop ceases to operate. With a team in both Syd- ney and Melbourne plus highly skilled agents in other major centres, the company of- fers total support – preventative maintenance services or repairs to
any make and model of air compressor. In addition Broadbent can install com- pressors, dryers, air line & piping as well as providing air quality testing. If you need extra air for a short pe- riod of time and don’t have the budg- et for new equipment, Broadbent and An- est Iwata has a range of pre-owned, refurbished air compressors and equip-
ment as well as a dedicated rental fleet. The highly experienced team are avail- able to answer any question you may have.
