PrintEx19 | A Letter from the Chair
The opening of Australasia’s only print, sign and display tradeshow this year is almost on us – and it is an event which forward-thinking businesses cannot afford to miss.
With PrintEx hot on the heels of two large overseas shows, ISA Sign Expo in Las Vegas and Fespa in Munich, a number
of exhibitors are taking this opportunity to launch their latest innovations to the local market. PrintEx is the ideal opportunity for those from across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond, to see all the latest offerings – all in one venue.
Each year I am continually impressed with the effort and creativity that local exhibitors are investing into their exhibition stands, and from the conversations we have had with many of our exhibitors across all sectors of the industry over the past weeks, I can assure you that PrintEx this year will be no exception.
With almost all floor space already spoken for, there are only
a few small stands left. This means there will be a smorgasbord of new equipment, supplies, software
and accessories on display across
a massive 6000 square metres of exhibition space, allowing visitors to view the here and now, as well as taking the chance to step into the future of our industry.

Of particular note is that PrintEx will for the first time this year be co- locating with the Label & Packaging Expo. This will allow those looking to expand into the rapidly growing label and packaging segment to visit the industry’s key suppliers during their visit to PrintEx.
Those in the sign, display and wide-format space will also have plenty to see, not only from many of the PrintEx exhibitors, but also at our other co-located show, the perennially popular Visual Impact.
“It is the best opportunity this year to gather the information and ideas you need to build your business success in 2019 and beyond.” – Jeremy Brew
Just as important is the opportunity to catch up with the latest trends, market directions, business wisdom and technical expertise at the PrintEx Forum Series.
This year’s Forum calendar will kick off with daily Business@ Breakfast sessions, followed by
a busy programme of keynotes, masterclasses, expert panels, and practical workshops right on the exhibition floor.
It is the best opportunity this
year to gather the information and ideas you need to build your business success in 2019 and beyond – and, like the exhibitions themselves, these informative and inspiring sessions are completely free of charge for industry professionals.
As well as making your own plans to attend, I would encourage you
to pass on our invitation to your colleagues, your suppliers and your clients to come to the show and see what is possible in the diverse and exciting print, graphics and signage industries. We will also be welcoming students from a number of schools and colleges to the show, so if you know a bright young person who would be an asset to our industry, make sure you bring them along, too.
Along with our platinum sponsor, Roland DG, our gold and silver sponsors, and the whole team at Visual Connections and PIAA, I look forward to welcoming you PrintEx19, from 13-16 August at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park. 21
