Ricoh will bring several new wide-format solutions to stand D18, including a roll-to- roll latex printer and a flatbed UV device.
Ricoh flies the flag
for wide-format innovation
According to Henryk Kraszewski, senior product manager at Ricoh, the L5160 boasts a number of attractive features including print speed of up to 46.7 square metres per hour; outstanding image quality; an option for high-opacity white; support for a variety of permeable and impermeable substrates; low-temperature curing; and environmentally-friendly operation.
“This new device leverages Ricoh’s forty-five-plus years of innovation, research and development in inkjet
Ricoh to the core: the Pro TF6250 flatbed
technology. It’s a Ricoh-designed product that utilises Ricoh industrial inkjet heads and Ricoh’s aqueous resin – latex – ink technology,” he says.
Also on the Ricoh stand will be the 2.5m by 1.3m Pro TF6250, which alongside the 2.1m by 3.2m T7210 is one of two new flatbed UV printers from the manufacturer, says Kraszewski.
“Similar to the Pro L5160, our new flatbed range are Ricoh-designed models that utilise Ricoh industrial inkjet heads and Ricoh UV ink technology,” he says.
Ricoh’s new flatbeds can print on almost any material up to 110mm thick, says Kraszewski, including wood, MDF, corflute, acrylic, glass, steel, aluminium, PETC, PC, and PVC. They can each operate at speeds up to 116 square metres
per hour, and have a versatile ink configuration supporting CMYK plus white, clear, and primer.
“Our flatbeds also offer easy setup and automatic maintenance, and safety features that protect operators while the machines are running,” adds Kraszewski. 21
Roland DG unveils trio of new solutions PrintEx platinum sponsor Roland DG is bringing three new products, launched just this year, to stand A28.
The BT-12 direct-to-garment printer, the LEF2-200 benchtop UV printer, and the TrueVIS VG2 series
of printer-cutters will feature on Roland DG’s stand along with a variety of other products, according to Greg Stone, product marketing manager at Roland DG.
“Visitors to the Roland DG stand can expect to see a comprehensive

range of the company’s products and solutions on display, including three new products launched this year alone,” he says.
The BT-12 is Roland DG’s first direct-to-garment printer for cotton- based products, which Stone says is built for on-demand personalisation.
“Compact and easy-to-use, the BT-12 meets the ever-increasing demand from customers for
personalised products, growing revenue opportunities for businesses,” says Stone.
Roland’s LEF series of UV flatbed printers has been popular among printers looking to diversify their offering, according to Stone, and the LEF2-200 is the latest entry in the range.
“The LEF2-200 prints amazing graphics and lifelike textures such
as simulated embossing onto a vast array of materials up to 100mm thick,” he says. “A host of advanced functions such as a positioning jig, new VersaWorks 6 software and an intuitive interface make the LEF2-200 even easier and more efficient to use.”
Finally, the award-winning TrueVis VG2 series of printer-cutters improves upon the high standards of their predecessors, says Stone.
“With a new generation of TR2 ink that supports orange ink, the colour gamut has been expanded to create stunning graphics with richer colours.”
“The VG2 offers a host of technological advancements to improve both printing and cutting accuracy for reliable results during unattended operation,” he says. 21
