  PPG’S REFLECTIVE COATING
NEW LYFT E-BIKES TAKE ADVANTAGE OF
the world’s first commercial retroreflective powder coating – PPG’s Envirocron LUM.
Increased cyclist visibility is the catalyst behind American transport service support provider, Lyft, selecting PPG Envirocron LUM technology to use on a fleet of e-bikes. Designed to reflect maximum light back to its source, PPG Envirocron LUM coating is a proprietary and patent-pending break- through technology and is the first-ever ret- roreflective powder coating.
Its origins are rooted in nature – in- spired by the reflective properties of deer’s eyes. Using a formulation with embedded glass beads, the single-layer coating re- fracts light and retroreflects it directly back to a vehicle’s driver to enhance visi- bility. PPG Envirocron LUM also delivers a non-solvent solution that features high transfer efficiency. It also provides excep- tional scratch and mar resistance.
DEBEER ONLINE TRAINING
                                            DEBEER REFINISH IS RENEWING ITS
commitment to training with its new e- Learning platform.
Training your bodyshop team comes with many key benefits including:
• Increased productivity and efficiency
• A reduction in costly errors
• Industry Accreditation such as I-CAR
credits.
Utilising training also allows you to stay up to date with new and emerging tech-
nologies, such as UV technologies. ADAS- equipped vehicles now require more spe- cialised training to repair, with special requirements for refinishing systems.
Online training is great way to up-skill staff without them having to leave the workshop. DeBeer Refinish has an- nounced it will be launching an online e-learning platform later this year.
The DeBeer eLearning Program is a suite of online training courses devel-
oped for bodyshop professionals to en- hance their knowledge and understand- ing of refinishing techniques.
The program has been developed by the Australian DeBeer Refinish Technical De- partment specifically to meet the needs of the Australian market. The program pro- vides you with up-to-date training content, accessible any time on any device, in a for- mat that allows you to work through the course content at your own pace. You can also go back and review content at any time. It uses a combination of text, graphics and video content to engage users of all ex- perience levels.
The DeBeer eLearning Program will continue to be complemented with face- to-face training sessions. The courses cover refinish fundamentals right through to advance application tech- niques and new refinish technologies. Face-to-face training is conducted at De- Beer’s state-of-the-art training centres based on the Central Coast, NSW and the Gold Coast, Qld.
