     PAINT AS A PART
IF YOU OFTEN COME ACROSS BOTTLENECKS IN YOUR PAINT DEPARTMENT OR FIND YOUR PAINTERS SCRAMBLING AROUND MATCHING PAINT COLOUR AS THE JOB IS ABOUT TO GO INTO THE BOOTH, THEN IT’S TIME TO RETHINK YOUR PROCESSES.
experience. Using our latest technolo- gy, we have designed a seamless pro- cess to integrate Paint as a Part into your business.
Benefits from challenging the standard: • Achieve accurate and simplified col- our retrieval at the beginning of the
process.
• Create a standard volume allowance
to reduce costly waste and increase
profitability.
• Visual indicators keep your team noti-
fied at each stage of the repair pro-
cess.
• Reduce downtime of a skilled techni-
cian, giving confidence to apply a
pre-approved colour match.
This should lead to more paint labour sales. • Minimise bottle necks in the paint re-
pair area, increasing productivity.
• Fast track the paint repair process and
increase efficiency.

CUSTOMER CHECK IN
Upon customer arrival, the correct
colour is identified using our accurate and simplified colour retrieval process.
            T
 RADITIONALLY, THE COLOUR
matching process is under- taken in the prep area, just prior to the vehicle being paint- ed. However, production can often be disrupted due to a particular job with unforeseen extra work, such as the more technically involved modern tri-stage colours currently in the mar- ket. This causes a ripple effect through- out the repair process. This is where Axalta’s ‘Paint as a Part’ process comes into play. By treating Paint as a Part and moving the colour identification to the front end of the repair process, you
will start to see improvements in work- flow within the paint shop. Just like you would order parts before commenc- ing work, colour identification and the paint repair process is also determined before the job is started.
PROCESS DRIVEN
This proven process, focused on in- vesting the time upfront, will enable you to increase your productivity, effi- ciency and ultimately profitability. Simplified steps have been designed to be easily followed, regardless of the technician’s level of colour retrieval
