The promotion encouraged custom- ers to achieve their own business sus- tainability goals. By simply purchasing a promotion kit the purchaser was able enter the draw to win up to $20,000 to-
wards a solar panel system installation. “We are excited to offer this promo- tion and encourage customers to Think Sustainable! Not every business can af- ford to install a solar panel system – so we are giving customers the chance to win one,” said Steven Brett, Managing Director of Axalta Coatings Systems in Australia. “At the same time, we encour- age bodyshops to look at the technologies current- ly available that can minimise energy con- sumption, reduce waste
or increase efficiencies.”
Manson is looking forward to seeing the impact the solar panel system will have on sustainability in his shop, saying “I am so excited to have won this competition. A big thank you to Axalta for supporting us by supplying a solar panel system and en- couraging bodyshops to think about sus- tainability. I can’t wait to have the system installed so I can see the impact it has on my business.”

In addition, Axalta presents the “Ax- alta Business Excellence Award” at the Paint & Panel Bodyshop Awards each year to recognise businesses that have achieved a competitive advantage through sus- tainable initiatives.

PG HAS CREATED A SPECIALISED
Automotive OEM Services Or- ganisation, aiming to actively support the success of vehicle manufacturers worldwide via an en- hanced and expanded portfolio of technologies, technical services and related capabilities. This new organi- sation will serve as a single technical service touchpoint spanning PPG’s complete product offering for automo- tive and commercial vehicle OEMs. At the same time, it will deliver a compre- hensive and consistent value package designed to help OEMs reduce costs, increase productivity and meet ever- rising quality and performance tar-
gets. In addition, it will enable PPG to accelerate the development and intro- duction of new coatings solutions and expand customer access to innovative technologies used in other markets, in- cluding aerospace, industrial and con- sumer electronics, says Dennis Taljan, PPG General Manager, Automotive OEM Services.

how vehicle OEMs can benefit from our technology and service leadership.
