FOODSERVICE AUSTRALIA
FIRST LOOK AT FOODSERVICE AUSTRALIA 2019
3
WITH A NEW VENUE, NEW EXHIBITORS, NEW COMPETITIONS AND NEW EVENTS, THERE WILL
BE PLENTY TO SEE AT FOODSERVICE AUSTRALIA 2019 FROM 23-25 JUNE AT THE MELBOURNE CONVENTION AND EXHIBITION CENTRE.
“This year the show is moving to a much
larger venue, which means we can showcase more
exhibitors and run more special events. Foodservice Australia has been growing every year, but now we’re really seeing it step up a level,” says exhibition director Tim Collett.
Aimed at restaurateurs, caterers, hoteliers and cafe
and quick-service restaurant operators, Foodservice Australia is the only dedicated trade show for this dynamic sector.
“It is focussed on the hospitality industry, which means everyone is talking the same language,” says Collett. “Spend a few hours at the show
and you can find exactly what you need for your hospitality business and your career.”
This year is the biggest show yet.
“Visitors will also find a plenty of smaller producers and equipment suppliers, many of which are exhibiting for the first time,” says Collett.
National competitions will also run at Foodservice Australia this year, including the Chef of the Year Award, the Battle of the Pacific Restaurant Challenge, the Global Pastry Chef award and foodservice Magazine’s 30 Under 30 Award.
There will also be two conferences running alongside the expo: the National Restaurant Conference and the Aged Care Catering Summit, which is being held in Melbourne for the first time this year.
Of course most of the focus will be on the exhibitors, and
there is an abundance of
new ideas and products to be discovered. The ever-popular Specialty Producers Pavilion returns with a range of artisanal and boutique producers from around Australia.
“Everyone who attends this year will be bowled over by the number of new products and suppliers on show. They will
also love all the free workshops, demonstrations and competitions running every day,” says Collett.
Entry to the show is restricted to people who work in the food or hospitality industry and is free by registering online before the event. The general public, including children, will not be admitted.
