FESTOOL RANGE
FESTOOL DUST EXTRACTION SYSTEMS
are the go-to if you truly want to work dust- free. The German engineered systems ben- efit from an incredibly calculated and well- tested design and come in a wide range of options for all different applications.
FACELIFTED CT 26 AND CT 36
The new CT 26 and CT 36 dust extrac- tors are the same machine at the core,
including HEPA filters, antistatic func- tion, speed control, CLEANTEC Connec- tion System and more. The additions to the new extractors include:
• Updated SYS dock for securing classic and Tloc systainers
• Reinforced hose garage for maximum durability
• Optional Bluetooth module for easy operation
• Swing-away cord wrap for effortless uncoiling
NEW SUCTION HOSES
Smooth, elastic and extremely robust, the new suction hose impresses with improved handling and a longer service life. It glides over any edges and ensures improved suc- tion thanks to its conical geometry. Clever extra benefits: The new CLEANTEC dust extraction sleeve means the ends of the hose can be connected to each other – to transport it cleanly or to extend the suction hose, depending on what you need.

CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY
3M'S CUBITRON II FAMILY OF ABRASIVE
discs, wheels, and belts feature its preci- sion-shaped grain (PSG) abrasives tech- nology, the most advanced abrasive tech- nology in the collision repair industry, the company says. 3M employs microreplica- tion technology to create uniformly-sized and precisely-shaped ceramic mineral into triangular structures. These grains are electrostatically oriented at exact intervals on the abrasive surface. The result is an abrasive that cuts 30 per cent faster and lasts twice as long as conventional ceram- ic abrasives. They also run cooler, while producing superior results on the surface. 3M offers Cubitron II products for auto body repair jobs from cutting and grind- ing through to finish sanding.
Panel beaters have been enjoying the benefits associated with these products for a few years now, and now the painters can
utilise these benefits with the introduction of 240+ and 320+ Cubitron II abrasives discs and sheets, which provide superior performance in primer preparation, prim- er sanding, e-coat sanding and bumper bar sanding operations of the paint shop.
Panel beaters can also use the 240+ sheets for process improvements after the applica- tion of body filler. When sanding body filler, the traditional process starts with P80 fol- lowed by P120, P180 and, potentially, P240 before the application of primer. Utilising the performance benefits of Cubitron II abra- sives, this process can be cut down to two steps, 120+ followed by 240+. The elimina- tion of two sanding steps makes the process faster, with the added benefit of keeping the repair area smaller, starting with the 120+ eliminates the need to refine the scratches from the coarser grade papers. Moving onto the 240+ sheet following the 120+, provides
great cut performance, however will also fin- ish with a repair that is so fine, that it fills like it has been finished with an orbital, meaning less chance of getting wild scratches in the paint work. Finally, when the repair is deliv- ered to the painter to apply the primer, all the painter will need to do is 240+ disc on the orbital around the feather edges, no need to touch the actual repair.
