“We are passionate about
a number of things – high compliance, delivering a premium product to consumers and ensuring we have a premium supply chain.”
Made By Cow sources all its milk from a single farm. At the moment it represents about 20 per cent of the farm’s capacity. Porter anticipates it will meet the company’s needs for the next two years.
The relationship with the farm is very close, Porter says, with the
cleanliness of the milk critical to its processing. “There has to be good practices. The farm is beautiful. Super pristine and in really good condition.
“All of this leads to the consumer. It is about trying
to create the best experience possible. That’s why we go with Jersey milk and its high fat content, great mouthfeel, and beautiful creamy notes. It definitely is an experience for a consumer, which is what we’re passionate about.” ✷

“ The Food Authority tested the raw milk and then our cold high pressure treated milk. We were able to determine that for the first time outside of heat pasteurisation we could deliver an alternative compliance, which is a world first.”
