RYE WHISKEY: AMERICAN-STYLE, AUSTRALIAN INGREDIENTS
The Gospel Distillers has launched its new rye whiskey range, made from an unmalted rye sourced from the Murray Mallee region in South Australia.
The Melbourne-based distillers will first launch Solera Rye – a blend of multiple batches, processed through a bespoke Solera system, in a combination of New American Oak and Australian Wine Barrels – and later, with a Straight Rye Whiskey.
Ben Bowles and Andrew Fitzgerald, The Gospel Distillers founders, have built the company on the traditions of American Rye and Bourbon distilleries, and have a custom-designed six-metre-high Column and Copper Pot Still.
“It has been a long road to creating The Gospel but the results speak for themselves,” said Bowles.
“What we’ve created is a unique blend of American style combined with 100 per cent Australian ingredients and production.”
“It’s a particularly exciting time to be producing in Australia with the growing popularity and demand for rye spirits.”
The Gospel Solera Rye is now available and will be distributed by Vanguard Luxury Brands.

“Tanqueray is the ideal choice to make those moments feel special. We’re excited to add Tanqueray’s Flor de Sevilla expression to the simplicity and convenience of a ready to drink format, especially as we move into the warmer spring months.”
Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla Gin & Soda is now available in liquor shops around the country in four-packs of 275ml glass bottles for RRP $25.99.

French-Canadian premium yoghurt brand Liberté has made its way onto shelves exclusively at Coles. The yoghurts are made from a selection of fine ingredients and fruit, developed with no gelatine, artificial sweeteners or sugar substitutes.
Liberté originates from Montreal and was originally established by a group of French-Canadian artisans in the early 1900s. The yoghurt was recently introduced to Australian shores and sits under the Lion Dairy & Drinks portfolio. It is crafted and produced in Morwell, Victoria.
“We’re thrilled to bring to Australia a unique French-Canadian brand with a strong heritage and shared passion for producing simple, yet great tasting products that are full of flavour,” said Lion Dairy & Drinks marketing and innovation director Darryn Wallace.
“It is the perfect choice for people who have an obsession for taste and appreciate quality food that is made with a selection of fine ingredients.”
“We can’t wait to share it with Australian foodies and all households alike, making it available to everyone through our exclusive partnership with Coles.”

gin and tonic to Australian stores.
The Duchess Alcohol-Free Gin & Tonic is in a ready-to-drink format
and is crafted with aromatic botanical extracts, as it offers “an elegant adult drink, minus the dreaded hangover or morning regrets”.
Due to growing consumer conscious trends for no and low alcohol content, The Duchess aims to target both the ‘sober-curious’, and the wider health and wellness group.
“When choosing not to drink, discerning consumers simply aren’t satisfied with sparkling water or sugary soft drinks,” said The Duchess founder Johannes Le Roux.
“And rightfully so, they deserve better choices that are no less complex and refreshing than their alcoholic counterparts. Apart from the gin-craze, I noticed that globally, people are more health-conscious which made me ask myself: can I create a beverage that speaks to all these challenges and opportunities?”
The Duchess Alcohol-Free Gin & Tonic is now available in Dan Murphy’s stores, as well as select boutique bars, restaurants and venues across Australia.
