EXAIR MEETS THE HEAT
THE new 2.5 and 3 inch Exair
Line Vac range is designed for
high temperature materials up
to 482 degrees Celsius, connecting
to a standard hose or tube to create a powerful in-line conveyor.
Introduced by Compressed Air Australia, these air operated conveyers feature large throat diameters for maximum throughput capability, and are available with smooth ends – which can be secured with a hose clamp – or with NPT threaded ends to mount into threaded pipe.
The Line Vac conveyors eject a small amount of compressed air to produce a

AMS INTRODUCES
HEAVY DUTY WATER
FLOW SENSOR
AMS Instrumentation & Calibration has introduced a new water flow measurement product to the Australian market.
The McCrometer FPI Mag has a multi-electrode water flow sensor, which is made from heavy-duty stainless steel for maximum structural integrity, and helps to prevent clogging from sand, grit or other debris.
The insertion design of the flow meter can be installed without interruption to current processes, de-watering lines, cutting pipe or welding flanges to ensure no inconvenience to
the user or customers.
FPI Mag is available in battery or solar powered options for forward flow sensors and has
a new Smart Output feature, which allows the FPI Mag to connect to AMI/ AMR systems through an encoded digital output.
The flow meter
is hermetically
sealed, protected by an NSF certified 3M fusion-bonded epoxy coating, and is available with forward-flow only or bi-directional measurement for line sizes from 100 to 3500 millimetres.
The McCrometer FPI Mag aims to combine accuracy, ease of installation and total cost savings to benefit the user and rival the performance of full-bore mag meters.

vacuum on one end, resulting in an instantaneous high output flow response on the other end.
The Exair Line Vacs are CE compliant and available in seven sizes from 19 to 76 millimetres. It is constructed from durable Type 303 or 316 stainless steel to resist high temperature, corrosion and contamination.
With no moving parts or electricity, Line Vac conveyors assure maintenance-free operation, and are ideal for moving large volumes of material over long distances.
INTELLIGENT cooling systems company Frigel has developed new lines in its mold temperature control units and central chillers ranges.
Frigel has introduced four new products in its Thermogel mold temperature control units including the Heat&Cool THC Series, which is designed for high quality surface finishing of moulded parts. It can process synchronised alternating heating and cooling units that work with pressurised water up to 180 degrees Celsius.
Frigel has also introduced the TGM/D Series in its new Turbogel range, featuring a new digital control to allow for energy and flow monitoring, as well as inverter driven booster process pumps.
In its line of chillers, Frigel has manufactured its heavy-duty, industrial grade IndustrialChiller Air Cooled MRM Series, which has multi-scroll compressors, microchannel condensers and a range of options for process demands.
In addition, the new Frigel Modular Chiller Water Cooled 3FX Series has a system cooling capacity of up to 3000 kW and are specially designed to add capacity as the thermal loads increase.
Frigel is an Italian manufacturer with an Australian operation based in Melbourne.
HEAVY DUTY COBOT ENTERS AUS
COLLABORATIVE robot manufacturer Universal Robots (UR) has launched the UR16e, designed for automating tasks such as heavy-duty material handling, heavy-part handling and machine tending.
The UR16e has a 16 kilogram payload capability, with a reach of 900 millimetres and pose repeatability of +/- 0.05 millimetres.
UR ANZ country manager Peter Hern said Australia is one of UR’s most important markets in the region and believes there will be strong demand for the UR16e.
“At Universal Robots we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible with collaborative automation,” he said.
“Today, we’re making it easier than ever for every manufacturer to capitalise on the power of automation by bringing a cobot to
market that is built to do more as it delivers more payload than our other cobots.”
The UR16e includes built-in force sensing, 17 configurable safety functions, including customisable stopping time and stopping distance, and an intuitive programming flow.
The new cobot is now available through UR’s Australian select distributors in New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia.
