WELL WORTH A MENTION
PAINT&PANEL SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER 2019
WELL WORTH A MENTION
THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE WINNER IN EACH CATEGORY WHICH MEANS THAT SOME GREAT BUSINESSES JUST MISSED OUT, WE'LL BE VISITING THEM AGAIN NEXT YEAR AS THEY WERE VERY MUCH IN THE WINNING MIX.
W E WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH the shops we visited in Queens- land. Nambour Smash Repairs was a new one for us. Tony Gor- man has built himself a smart 'one stop shop' leasing next door to a mechanical workshop. Nicely laid out, the business also offers vehicle protection. Morayfield Smash Repair is a highly productive facility that has its own mechanical workshop, towing services and a healthy business in detailing and ute-lining. Not having a website actu- ally excluded them from winning as it is one of our basic criteria but they are in the pro-
cess of building one.

Repairs is a dealer-owned bodyshop that has moved to a new facility and is Toyota ap- proved. Workshop manager Chris Brinkworth is evangeli- cal about 5S processes and the result is a clean, tidy and well ordered workplace with plenty of team communica- tion. A further new facility will be built across the road to repair BMWs.
