SERVING COUNTRY AND COMMUNITY

 KEEP MY

 HOOD GOOD

 HONORING JUANITA JONES

Juanita Jones may have begrudgingly entered military service, choosing the United
States Marine Corps, the ‘best branch of service,’ says Jones.
However, Jones marched out of her honorable service with the principles of
                                       accountability, excellence, integrity, and respect.

Serving her country provided her with a deep sense of herself, encouraged her to adopt
a liberating direction for her life, and the drive and compassion to help
others. Juanita turned these attributes into an empowering mission statement for
                                                Keep My Hood Good, (KMHG)

KMHG promotes personal, civic, and community responsibility for underserved,
underprivileged youth through structured activities that encourage

serving Jackson area youth, successfully engaging them in art, sports,
