Supporng Hampton Businesses – Tell Us Your Story!
As part of the revamp of the Church and Village Chronicle, we want to give a greater emphasis to the
“Village” part of the tle. There are many businesses based in the village and most of us are barely
aware of their presence. We’d like to give you the opportunity to change that! Please contact the
Editor, Nick Worthington (hinachronicle@gmail.com) and we will endeavour to let people know
more about you and your business.
Pizza the Action
For several years a popular pizza business operated out of a horsebox in The
White Lion car park - and then it closed down, leaving a horsebox and no pizzas.
Moving on a couple of years to summer 2023, Gil Lambino and Charlie
Worthington acquired a new horsebox, a wood fired oven and in July opened
Pizza the Action, just 2 weeks before they got married in Hampton Church.
By using their own sourdough pizza dough and high
quality ingredients their extensive menu caters for all
tastes, all made freshly to order. They can cater for those
with gluten intolerance, celiacs, vegans and even halal. All
their pizzas are cooked fresh to order and can be taken
away or eaten in the pub or the pub garden. To minimise
waste and to be as green as possible, we serve our pizzas
on plates if you’re eating them at the pub.
Regular customers are rewarded with a free pizza for
every 10 they buy - just ask for a loyalty card.
Opening hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday
evenings from 5:30pm to 9:30pm and 5:30pm to 8:30pm
on Sundays. Orders can be taken at the van or by
telephone - 07835 813830. Opening hours can sometimes
vary - for example when the White Lion is showing 6
Nations Rugby or there is live music in the garden.
Pizza the Action can be booked for private events such as weddings, parties, charity events or
festivals. Call 07835 813830 or email mmm@pizza-the-action.com to discuss your requirements.
Charlie and Gil are delighted to be supporting the Cameron Grant Night Walk on October 11th - you
will find them by the Fentham Hall during the evening, ready to feed hungry walkers. On November
10th they will be supporting the Remembrance Day Concert taking place in the afternoon in the Lion.
For every pizza sold they will donate £1 to the Royal British Legion. Last year the Spam Pizza sold out!
