3. Subjective descriptive text is a type of descriptive text
that describe an object such as an interpretation or
impression of the authors feelings about it.
D. Generic structure of Descriptive text
A. Identification: This is used as an introduction that
introduces the object, person, place or event that will be
described. Mention the name or identity of the subject
and provide a general description.
B. Description: This section contains details about the
characteristics of the subject. Explanations usually
include the following aspects: Physical description:
Mentions shape, size, color, and other physical attributes.
Sensory description: Describes impressions obtained
through the senses such as smell, taste, sound, and
texture. Description of behavior or function: If relevant,
describes how the subject behaves or functions.
Emotional or opinionated description: Sometimes
includes the author's feelings or opinions about the
subject. By following this structure, descriptive text can
convey a detailed and clear picture to readers, allowing
them to understand and imagine the subject being
described accurately.
C. Conclusion: Conclusion/impression Contains a
summary of the entire text which also contains the
author's impression of the topic discussed.
