Introduction

Why A Resource Guide?

We have provided this guide to help you make informed decisions
when planning funeral arrangements. On average a person may
plan, or assist in planning, funeral arrangements only two or three
times in their lifetime. We hope this information answers many
questions and concerns you may have about making funeral ar-
rangements for a loved one.

How to use this Resource Guide:

The guide has been divided up into sections making it easy
to locate specific information. You can use the guide to read
specific information that is immediately important to you, or
you can read the guide as book or magazine, from the start
to the finish. Located at the back of the book is a section to
write down notes or questions that you would like answered.
There are also forms useful for writing an obituary, planning a
funeral or memorial service, and gathering information for the
death certificate.
