Luna National High School
In Luna National High School, the transparency boards near the principal’s office
display the easy-to-read, accessible, and up to date liquidation report of school funds
open to all the members of the community for transparency.
INTENSIFIED HOME VISITATION ACTIVITY
The involvement and engagement of parents in their children's education has a
significant impact on their academic achievement. Teachers' visits to children's homes
to meet with parents allow teachers and parents to connect, which can assist develop
parental involvement in their children's education.
According to Sinclair (2018), personal interaction is essential for developing
positive parent-teacher connections. A visit to the home is often used by an interested
teacher to gain the parent's confidence.
In Luna National High School, the parents regard a teacher to be a representative
of the school, and tend to judge the school by their acts and deeds. Home visitation is
conducted by the adviser together with the school guidance counselor. Its aim is to let
the parents get involved in their child’s education and make the teacher and the learner
be familiar with each other.
This task is frequently done when a student is absent for three days in a row
without informing the adviser or when a student is not performing well in class to
determine the possible causes.
ONLINE COMMUNICATION PLATFORM
The school maintains a Facebook page for announcements and activities, as well
as a group chat for officers and members of each organization. All Luna National High
School organizations use GCs because they are the most effective way of
communicating critical news and information. Additionally, the GCs act as a liaison
between members of a specific organization.
Because all parties involved have the right to know what is going on at school,
the school uses its Facebook page to publicize its accomplishments and notable events.
Another benefit is that it encourages stakeholders to continue to support the
institution.
