SIMPLE NURISHMENT

Its early morning,
Maybe its evening or afternoon,

And to be truthful,

I have no clue.

All I know, it’s all about me
And only partially about you.

There’s a strange feeling in my belly.

So different from prior to arrival
The silence has been replaced with chaos

And it’s so not delightful.
I know what’s happening
My unlimited supply has been severed.

Now I’m making noise, I’m now part of the chaos.
And somehow, I think this is clever.
So I’ll just make noise.

As much as I can.
My face is now wet,
And like in the womb

I’m starting to dance.
A squeak and a squirm.

I can’t seem to be still
I’m ringing this dinner bell.
Where’s the one with my meal

Oh no, here he comes.
He hasn’t been gifted with the abilities I need.

Where’s the squishy one, it’s time to feed.
