Mr. Rothman because when the child molestation allegations
hit the media our phones rang off the wall constantly. During
the time of her employment at Mr. Rothman's office she and I
became very good friends. I was always comforting her when
Mr. Rothman would drive her to tears. I talked her out of quit-
ting a couple of times before, but I could tell that she was fed
up!
She did not feel comfortable telling him of her plan to quit
to his face because she did not trust him. She informed me of
her plan to go to the bank after receiving her paycheck, cash it
and then call Mr. Rothman on the phone and advise him that
she quit. She wanted to make sure that her check was cashed
and in the bank before he knew of her plans to quit. Her im-
promptu departure left us without a receptionist just before
the Michael Jackson allegations surfaced. Mr. Rothman's ef-

small, or just simply needle them on every tiny issue, until he
succeeded in causing them to walk off the job. Once the recep-
tionist would walk off the job because of his harassment, Mr.
Rothman would simply call the agency that he hired them from
and complain of THEIR inadequacy and refuse to pay the bill.
I watched Mr. Rothman pull this stunt on at least three occa-
sions. By the third time the agency started getting wise to Mr.
Rothman's scheme. This would cause him to change agencies
and he would pull the same stunt on the new agency.
As for the receptionists, I watched one girl break down into
tears just before walking off the job. Another receptionist was
pretty strong hearted but after Mr. Rothman hammered her
into the ground on minor issues; she went to lunch and had a
