CHAPTER 1 : INTRODUCTION

          1. TITLE DESCRIPTION

Have you ever heard stories from your grandparents? Call it
like the story "golden cucumber", "the deer" or "Sangkuriang"

all of that must have decorated your childhood and could even

become a bedtime story. All of these stories are included in

narrative text, which is a type of text that tells a series of
events in a chronological or interconnected system. Narrative

texts are generally imaginative, aka not real or in the form of

the imagination of the author. We will learn more in this
          learning module!

                          2. PREREQUISITES

Previously, we studied narrative text functions and

characteristics. To be able to understand this module,

students are expected to have read material about narrative
text structure. Students will be invited to be able to analyze

narrative texts in the form of folklore from the types,

structures, linguistic elements, and functions of narrative

texts. In order to create their own narrative text, students are
expected to be able to pay attention to linguistic elements

                          after studying this e-module.
