The practical field of constitutional law study is broad, numerous, and open. State and
government activities that are covered in the field of constitutional law include the following
activities:
1 ) Legislation and formation of statutory regulations;
2 ) Administration relating to information management activities and dissemination of
legal information;
3 ) Legal education and development of the legal profession;
4 ) Administration of law or implementation in the sense of the application of the law by
executors determined by said law (the administration of law);
5 ) Legal aspects of state government administration activities;
6 ) Law enforcement activities starting with investigations and prosecutions;
7 ) Administration of justice up to the decision of a permanent judge;

The nine fields of activity above, especially regarding institutionalization
(instellingen), regulation (regelendaad), and other decision-making (besslissing) aspects,
provide a vast field for the practice of constitutional law. The activities also concern the
duties of many legal and governmental institutions where constitutional law is practised,
namely:
a) Parliamentary institutions throughout Indonesia include the MPR, DPR, DPD, and
DPRD.
b) Executive government administrative institutions vertically from the central level to
provincial and district/city levels, and horizontally from government departments,
non-departmental government agencies, councils, commissions, and executive bodies
which are independent in nature, all of which require the support of experts in the
field of constitutional law;
