Dade County Medical Association Honors Past and Future
in an Outstanding Presidential Celebration
Guests were received at the JW Marriott – Miami Dr. Michael Petete, President of Dr. Antonio Mesa inducting
the Florida Medical Association Dr. Rudolph Moise to the DCMA Past
The Board of Directors of the Dade County Medical Association (DCMA), is President Council
proud to announce that Dr. Jose David Suarez has been installed as the 111th
President of the Association. The new president was welcomed during the DCMA
Presidential Celebration Gala on June 19, 2021 at the JW Marriott Miami. During
this extraordinary event the DCMA recognized the many achievements during the
tenure of outgoing President, Dr. Rudolph Moise.
During his farewell speech, Dr. Moise illustrated the impact the organization has
had under his leadership despite the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic.
In his inauguration speech, Dr. Suarez shared his plans for the coming year
including expanding leadership opportunities and health care management educa-
tion so physicians can drive meaningful reform of the healthcare system. His main
goal is to encourage physicians in Miami-Dade County to be involved and account-
able for the quality of care the local healthcare community delivers our patients.
The synergy between these two leaders of the Medical Association and their dedi-
cation to improving the well-being of the local medical community was on full dis-
play for the 250 physicians and health care representatives in attendance.
