Preface

Science is an essen al part of our lives, and its
significance cannot be overstated. As children, we are
introduced to fundamental scien fic concepts that are relevant
to our daily lives. We learn how to explore and inves gate our
surroundings, ask ques ons, and find answers through
experimenta on. Science is a prac cal and engaging subject
that children eagerly pursue.

The ‘Prudence Learning Science’ book series is designed
for Grades 1 to 8 and is aligned with the new NCERT syllabus as
well as the vision of the Na onal Educa on Policy (NEP 2020).
The subject ma er has been presented in simple language, and
the chapters are well illustrated with a rac ve pictures to make
the learning process enjoyable and effec ve.

The series includes a variety of exercises that will help
students consolidate their learning. These exercises include
mul ple-choice ques ons, short-answer ques ons, true/false
ques ons, and matching exercises. By comple ng these
