(ii) The pronouns which refer to the person or persons spoken to are called

          pronouns of the Second Person            .

               Example :     You  are very clever.


               (iii) The pronouns which refer to the person or the thing spoken of are called

          pronouns of the Third Person          .

               Example :     They  are swimming.

          2. Possessive Pronouns


               A pronoun showing possession is called a possessive pronoun                    .

               Examples :


               (a) This is my   car.                          (b) That car ismine      .

               List the form of possessive pronouns :

                       their                     –                         theirs


                       our                       –                         ours

                       my                        –                         mine

                       your                      –                         yours


          3. Demonstrative Pronouns

               The pronoun that       , those  , these  and this   are used to point at an object or objects

          to which they refer to so they are called demonstrative pronouns                    .

               Examples :


               (a) That  is his house.                             (b) Those   are your clothes.

               (c) This  is my notebook.                           (d) These   are her biscuits.
