the donkey. They thought deeply. They had an idea. They tied the donkey's feet to

a long pole with ropes. And they carried the pole on their shoulders. The people on
the way laughed at their stupid act.

Finally, they came to a bridge.
While they were crossing the

bridge, the boy lost his balance due to
the donkey's weight. The boy fell

down. The donkey also fell along
with the pole. The old man also

lost his balance and soon all the
three fell into the water under

the bridge.

After some time, all the three swam back

to safety, wet and tired. “We should
have known better than to try and

please other people,” said the old
man sadly. The old man has

indeed learnt a good lesson.
