In this tale, the proud peacock loses a chance at love due to his arrogance . However,
he learns a valuable lesson.
Once, there was a splendid golden swan
who ruled over all the birds. He had a
beautiful daughter, and when it was time for
her to marry, he invited all the birds to a
grand gathering. The princess would choose
her husband from among them.
Many birds came, but the princess's heart was captivated by a stunning
peacock with magnificent tail feathers. She chose him as her husband, and all the
other birds congratulated the peacock on his good fortune . Filled with pride and
joy, the peacock couldn't contain his excitement and began to dance wildly. But
in his enthusiasm, he forgot his manners and modesty. This behaviour angered
the king, who declared, "I cannot let my daughter marry such a proud and
shameless creature who doesn't know how to behave." Instead, the king
arranged for his daughter to marry his worthy nephew.
The peacock, overwhelmed with shame, flew away, realising that pride and
arrogance had cost him a loving relationship.
