National Unity, also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, is celebrated in Bharat on 31st
October. It is the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Unity means to stay

together in all sorts of calamities and adversities. Even in the history of Bharat, the
Britishers tried to divide and rule the country. To some extent, they were successful;
however, for the most part, Bharat stood united until Independence was gained. Unity is
Bharat's strength. The Indian Army consists of people from every corner of the country
and yet they ight to keep the nation safe.

Make different teams in the class, and ind more about the festivals and speak in class
about them. Some points to discuss are: special foods, and songs, the clothes that people
wear, any particular traditions that are followed and what does the festival signify.
