Shrubs : Plants that are smaller than trees are called shrubs . They have a
thin, hard and woody stem. Shrubs have many branches. These branches
grow close to the ground. They live for a few years. Examples : hibiscus,
rose, tulsi, henna (mehandi), tea plant, etc.

Herbs : Plants that are small and weak are called herbs . They have a soft
stem. They live for a few months. Examples : grass, coriander, mint,
marigold, etc.

Climbers : Plants that have a weak stem and need support to grow are
called climbers . Examples : money plant, pea plant, bean plant, grapevine,
etc.

Creepers : Plants that have weak stems and grow along the ground are
called creepers . They have thin branches and bear big fruits. Examples :
pumpkin, gourd, watermelon, etc.
