Sleepy Sid's Week
Sleepy Sid lay in his bed,
A pillow tucked beneath his head.
Monday, he began to yawn,
Too tired to mow the lawn.
Tuesday, he looked at his socks,
And slowly tiptoed past the clocks.
Wednesday, he rubbed his nose,
Still in bed, in sleepy clothes.
Thursday, he blinked one eye,
And watched the birds go flying by.
Friday, he sat up in his nest,
But yawned again and went to rest.
Saturday, he scratched his chin,
Too lazy still to even grin.
Sunday, he gave a tiny cheer,
'I'll sleep again, same time next year!'
