11. The Conjunction
A conjunction is a joining word. It joins either two words or two
sentences. Some of the most commonly used conjunctions are :

Read the following sentences carefully :
Look at this cat and its kitten. Mohan and Rohan are friends.
or
Is it a snake rabbit? Is the train late on time?

Mona is fat but Sona is thin. A tortoise is slow but steady.
In the above sentences, and , or and but are joining words.
These are called conjunctions .
