Preface

Welcome to the captivating world of Carvaan Science! This

textbook has been carefully crafted in alignment with the National
Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum

Framework (NCF) 2023, which emphasise a holistic, learner-

centric approach to education.
The NEP 2020 and NCF 2023 encourage experiential learning,

critical thinking and multidisciplinary studies and these principles

are deeply embedded in the structure and content of this book.
The primary objective of this textbook is to nurture curiosity, foster

a scientific temper and cultivate a deep understanding of the
natural world among the young learners.

We have incorporated active learning methods, including inquiry-
based activities, hands-on experiments and real-world applications,

to help students connect scientific concepts with their everyday lives.
