The goose kept its promise, giving one golden feather and returning from

          time to time with another. The old woman and her daughters sold these feathers

          and soon lived a comfortable life.

                  But one day, greed crept in. One daughter said, "Let's not trust the goose

          too much. What if it leaves us one day? Then, we'll be poor again. Let's take all its

          feathers next time."

                  Driven by greed, they took all the goose's feathers the next time it came.

          Sadly, the goose's feathers lost their golden shine when plucked against its will.


                  Over time, the goose's feathers grew back, but they were no longer golden.
          With white feathers, it flew away, never to return to the ungrateful                      family.
