If total integration of schedule and cost functions is needed, and the cost side
of the integrated system must be a full-featured cost management system, then
you will need to look into the PM/ERP type solution with a projects module to fa-
cilitate the integration. Again, be aware that this is a very big commitment, of
both cost and effort.
I can’t recommend that two separate (nonintegrated) tools (CPM and finan-
cial) be employed to deal with project costs. This is asking for trouble.
