became a tool that was always accessible to the people who were working
to achieve it.
We are something of a belt and braces (suspenders) organization. We
have a list of key values and a mission statement. The values inform those
of us lucky enough to be part of the organization how we will behave while
the Mission Statement tells all our stakeholders (clients, suppliers,
employees, strategic allies and the people of the countries in which we
operate), all that they need to know about us to enable them to make an
informed decision whether they choose to work with us.
Our mission
To enable our clients to develop and implement superior strategic and tactical
solutions through effective networking. What makes us different is that we
combine practical experience with state-of-the-art research to develop superior
tools and techniques designed to add value at every stage of the
implementation process and to do what we do at the lowest possible cost. We
ensure growing client autonomy by building their ability to use our unique
tools and techniques to attract, win and retain customers.
We are committed to making the best use of the best people and to life-
long learning applied just in time. Where our clients are concerned we stick
firmly to the principles that: Nothing should be done in a business unless
it:
n Adds significantly to the ability of the business to attain its objectives.
n Will pay for itself in a reasonable time.
n Can be explained in simple terms to those who have to make it work.
Our stakeholders, suppliers, employees, consultants, clients and members of
the communities in which we work are treated as unique, creative individuals
that have inalienable rights to be treated as valued on their own terms.
Decision-making at every level is driven by our core values of making the
best use of the best people in understanding, adapting and delivering state-of-
the-art information to our clients to massively increase value.
I hope that although far from ideal (I have yet to see an ideal mission
statement), you will agree that our mission statement tells those who are
interested the essential things they need to know about our business.
What do they need to know?
n What do these people do?
n What needs and desires of ours do they exist to satisfy?
n What makes them different?
