About the Coaching Program
The main aim of this coaching program was to help create more sustainable
businesses and generate work opportunities for Africa’s young people. The
programme was designed to support entrepreneurs to build immediate and
long-term resilience through one-on-one coaching offered to 200 SME leaders
in Ghana, Kenya and Senegal.
This coaching project was part of a larger program, sponsored by Mastercard
Foundation to support more than 8,000 micro, small and medium-sized
enterprises (MSMEs) in Eastern and Western Africa to navigate commercial
challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Coaching Hub, worked as an implementation partner for Invest In Africa
(IIA), an enterprise that accelerates the growth of small and medium-sized
enterprises (SMEs) in Africa.
The Business owners who signed up for the coaching program benefited as
follows:
A kickstart workshop about how coaching works
A strategy session to set out clear objectives for their coaching
engagement
Four personalised coaching sessions with a certified coach
A better awareness of what drives business growth
An opportunity to do a deep analysis of their business challenges and tap
into more innovative solutions
A chance to explore new techniques and frameworks to realize their
business goals
An opportunity to improve as the leader of the business
A structured way of being held accountable to develop and implement
practical action plans for their business
