“The illiterate of the 21 century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who
               cannot learn, unlearn and relearn.”

The above quote is the opinion of Mr Alvin Toffler, an American writer, businessman and
futurist. In essence, the quote refers to the necessity for current and future generations to develop
               the skill of adaptability.

Every aspect of the human experience has been colored by the rapid advancements made in
technology. The previous five years have seen huge technological leaps in fields such as
Artificial Intelligence, space exploration and environmental technology. Just two years ago, we
all lived in a world without the uncertainties and challenges caused by Covid-19. The need to be
adaptable is, perhaps, more important now than ever before.

Students and parents involved in the SABIS® network of schools will have seen this year that
the educational and technological tools used by SABIS allow for creative solutions to be
implemented in order for the learning never to stop.

Through determined parents, teachers, and staff members the obstacles of Covid-19 were turned
into opportunities and our students are now more resilient and better prepared for the modern
world than they were just a year ago. It is a remarkable achievement of which we all can be
proud of. This yearbook represents those achievements and the memories that were created by
               those achievements.

As this academic year draws to a close and the plans and preparations for AY2122 continue. We
can take a moment to appreciate what we have achieved this year and look forward to the
               opportunities that AY2122 will offer.

In closing, I will share a quote that is very close to my heart. The words below remind me daily
why so many people involved in education take on the important task of educating the next
               generation.

“Children are not a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work.”

Every child contains the infinite possibility to be the next person to change the world for the
better. Our children are future doctors, scientists, designers or Artists, to convey the creative
aspect of our education, for example, and giving them the gift of the best possible education
brings us all one step closer to experiencing a better, although constantly changing, world.
