As he heard what his nephew has just said, Abu Thalib was touched.
He was proud of the determination of Prophet Muhammad SAW. Then, he
said to the prophet, “My dear nephew, do what your faith is right in the name
of Allah. For the sake of Allah, the guardian of Ka’bah, I love you dearly, and
I will never surrender you to them.”
Prophet Muhammad SAW was so relieved when he heard his uncle
answer. He became even more determind not to stop preaching. Until the day
he died, Abu Thalib was always loyal and he protected the Prophet every time
the Quraisy tribe threatened Prophet Muhammad SAW.
Moral of the Story:
Prophet Muhammad SAW gives us an example to be determined in
doing the right thing. The Prophet was insulted and threatened but he kept
his determination to do what his believe was right in accordance with Allah
SWT’s willing. So, be brave in doing the right things just like the Prophet
Muhammad SAW. Be determined and not be shaken by ridicule and even
threats.
