Courageous

Once there was a man from Bani Hasyim, his name was
Rukanah. He was a shepherd at Idham Valley and he was a musyrik.
Rukanah was very strong and cruel. Many people afraid of him. Many
people were afraid of him. Nobody had ever defeated him in wrestling
because of his big posture and strength.
One day, Prophet Muhammad SAW decided to go to Idham

Valley. He met Rukanah at the Valley. When He saw the Prophet,
Rukanah got up on his feet and approached him.
“Dear Muhammad, you are the one who insulted our God, Latta
and Uzza. You said that your God is the most powerful and the wises.
Now you can ask your God to safe you from me. I challenge you to
wrestle with me. If you can defeat me, I’ll give you ten of my sheep.”
Prophet Muhammad SAW was not afraid of Rukanah’s challenge. He
quickly replied, “Very well, as you wish!”

Before the fight, Prophet Muhammad SAW prayed to Allah SWT
the most powerful and the protector. He prayed for Allah’s protection
so that he could defeat Rukanah. As for Rukanah, He pprayed to Latta
and Uzza.
The wrestling fight began. Prophet Muhammad SAW pulled
Rukana’s legs and smack him down. In a blind of night, Prophet

Muhammad SAW defeated Rukanah. Rukanah couldn’t believe that he
lost the fight. Nobody had ever defeated him before.
Because of his dissatisfaction, Rukanah challenged Prophet
Muhammad SAW to have anoter wrestling fight. Ho shouted loudly,
“Let’s have another fight and see who is going to be the winner!”
