Patient

One day, Prophet Muhammad SAW was preaching with his
companions in Thaif, the closest city in Mekkah. In that city live many
people from Tsaqif tribe. The Prophet thought that if the people of Thaif

tribe embraced Islam, then Islam would grow even stronger.

When he arrived, the Prophet met three local leaders. Politely, he
invited them to worship Allah SWT. Yet, they refused him.

“Are you the one chosen by Allah as His Prophet?” ask the first leader.
“Isn’t there someone else who is more proper than you?” the second

leader insulted.

Relyzing the rejection, the Prophet and his companions were
disappointed. Yet, he didn’t lose hope and kept preaching in that city.
His preaching was ignored by the people of Thaif.

“Get out of here!” they shouted.
“Young man, get the man out of here!” ordered one of the leaders.

Prophet Muhammad SAW was punished. People threw stones, wood,
dirt, anything they had closed to them. The Prophet’s body was all dirty
and full of blood. It was so terrible.

On his way home, the Prophet found a safe place to rest. In that place,

he uttered the prayer to Allah SWT. Allah SWT heard his prayer and
sent His Angel, Gabriel to meet the Prophet and he arrived before
Prophet Muhammad SAW. Gabriel greeted him and said, “Allah knows
what happen between you and those people. Allah has ordered the
Angel in the mountain to obey you, dear Rasulullah.”
