Biography: As Vice President of Engineering in the Core Hardware Group at Cisco Systems,
Scott Scheeler leads the Switching Hardware Engineering Team with his 25+ years of compre-
hensive expertise in bringing complex network and storage systems to market. The switching
product lines include Catalyst (2K, 3K, 4K and 6K), Nexus (2K, 5K, 6K and 7K), MDS and SMB
hardware platform development. The product lines account for more than 13B of Cisco’s overall
product revenue. In addition to product development, Scott works in conjunction with software

development leaders, product marketing, and customers to drive product roadmaps and next
generation architectures. In addition to the switching products, Scott oversees hardware VP, Switching
engineering for the Internet of Things (IoT) group at Cisco. IoT is the network connection of Hardware
people, process, data, and things where Cisco is a driving force in IoT innovation. Cisco

Biography: Steven Campbell was appointed as executive vice president and chief technology
offi cer in November 2015. Previously, Campbell served as chief technology offi cer of HGST and
Hitachi Global Storage Technologies (Hitachi GST) prior to Western Digital’s acquisition of
Hitachi GST in March 2012. Prior to joining Hitachi GST in January 2009, Campbell served as
chief executive offi cer of Magnecomp International (later renamed as Innotek Limited) from July
2002 to September 2008. Prior to that, Campbell served in a variety of capacities with Western
Digital, Hewlett Packard, Quantum Corporation and DataPlay, including as general manager of
desktop solutions, senior vice president of engineering, vice president of new product
introduction and chief quality offi cer of Western Digital. Steve Campbell
With more than 30 years of experience in the electronics and data storage industry, Campbell CTO
brings a unique perspective as a business-focused technologist to Western Digital’s delivery of Western Digital
value to customers around the world. He also has a proven track record with successfully
leading cross-cultural and geographically dispersed product development and engineering
teams.
Campbell holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University
of Arizona.
