RailEval is a web-based tool for rail system evaluation, integrating FRA’s
General Train Movement Simulator (GTMS). RailEval analyses support This seminar is intended to give an introduction to Positive Train Control

improvements. One of RailEval’s intended modes of usage is the feasibility Server. For transit agencies and regional railroads the cost and
screening of proposed new passenger rail services in existing freight or implementation of I-ETMS PTC is a daunting task. This is particularly true for
shared-use corridors. RailEval may also be used for other capacity and the Office Segment that includes one or more Back Office Servers (BOS),

This session will explore important fundamentals and best practices to
observe when installing or migrating a railroad signaling system to a
connected railroad signaling system. Topics include why do signaling
systems need connected technology, lifecycle considerations related to
connected technology in a signaling system, insights into signaling system
analytics, and segmentation of processing from sensor to cloud.
