Inclement Weather ...was a blast!
Coat, Hat, and Gloves!
As we have outdoor playtime every day, even in the winter, please be sure your child has a warm coat, hat and gloves every day. It could be nice in the morning and then a stiff north wind can move in and make things chilly. Check the weather forecast before heading to school and please make sure that all items are labeled with your childʼs name.
When it’s just too cold...
No one likes to cancel playtime, but sometimes we must. Factors such as temperature, wind, and moisture can affect daily outdoor play. We make our judgment near playtime based on temperature, sun, and wind. We will go out on most days even if just for a short time. The children will participate in music and movement activities instead of going outside on days that are just too cold.
Hazardous Weather Conditions
For the safety of families and staff, Alden may choose to close for winter storms and icy conditions. Even after the roads are mostly clear and some schools are back in session, we may still be
closed due to icy conditions on our parking lot which tends to freeze heavier than surrounding roads. The ability of distant staff to arrive safely may also play a factor.
Notifying Families
Although we usually have a “heads up” on an upcoming winter storm warning, Mother Nature doesnʼt always cooperate. Possible storms coming during the school day will be assessed and the school may close early. Storms that happen in the middle of the night will be monitored and closure called as soon as possible, but no later than 6am. Parents will be notified by email and text.

Complete the following steps from a computer, not your mobile device.
Open the Payments page. From the Accounts tab select your student's name. Scroll down until you see the Payments & Credits tab and click to open it. Click the EXPORT button, select the date range: Jan. 1, 2024 to Dec. 31, 2024
Click Export and a statement will be sent to your email address.
